kk_kk09-24 05:47 PMIf I understand correctly, once the I-140 is approved, the PD is fixed. Make sure you have all the details of your privious I-140.

you can take up new FT and once the new I-140 is approved and if EB2 July is current at that time, you can ask USCIS to apply that PD to your new I-140. Also the new I-140 needs to be with same or similar job duties / description.

I have a question regarding the medical exam for the AOS. The civil surgeon I went to did not do a TB skin test and instead took an x-ray to verify no signs of TB. Has anyone else had the same experience, i.e. no skin test, x-ray only?

The other strange thing he told me was that some of his patients send the x-ray as part of the 485 application. Has any1 else heard of anything like this?

Last I checked, the USCIS did not employ medical personnel, but then what do I know?

Any input from fellow IV members is greatly appreciated.

Our checks were cashed today (both for me and my husband). Our application (I 140/I485 conc.) was July 2nd @NSC received by R Williams. They were cashed in Texas. We did not even get the receipt notices yet. Thus, the wait sounds longer for us.

Once the ITIN is processed, they will update your 1040 with the ITIN number and forward it to the respective department for processing. I got my refund back after 8 weeks. Since I am in Texas I didnt have to file for state taxes..So not sure about the state tax filing part....

Here is my situation - I have filed my I140 and I485 through company A and still waiting on a receipt number for the I485 (filed on July 2007). I have gotten a new job offer with company B. My questions -

1) If I were to transfer my H1B to company B, what would happen to the GC process that I initiated with company A?

2) Also, is it possible to revoke the GC application? If yes, are the filing fees refunded?

johnmcdonald9804-07 08:48 PMIf your processing date is current, if your PD is current, and if you are name check is cleared, they most likely be processing or processed your case.

If your processing date is current, if your PD is current, but if you are name check is not cleared, and so as per new rule, they will process your case in a month or so.

If your processing date is current, but if your PD is not current, but if you are name check is cleared, most probably they will pre-adjudicate your case. So the day your PD becomes current, you will get your GC. In this case if your NC is not cleared, you have to wait another month as long as you are above 180days of NC waiting...

If your processing date is not current, but if your PD is current, I have seen people getting GC, so I believe they must have cleared their NC. But I don't quite understand this scenario...


this is just my belief from the pattern i have seen so far, correct me!
