But since your I-140 is filed, you should upgrade it to PREMIUM and try to get it approved asap.

Worst case scenario - if company B is not considered successor in interest to company A, you can still use the approved I-140 to carry over your PD.

It can be in any format as long as it lists your title and duties exactly as it is stated in your labor certification.

My EB2- I140 (INDIA) approved on March 09, 2007. We also have received our EAD last year after filing I-485 in July 2007.
I was checking online status and for my I-140, last updated date shows January 06, 2008. (My EB2 PD is OCT 2006). Can any one explain why the I-140 showing update date of 01/06/2008. The online status says following text :

Application Type: I140, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER
Current Status: Case approved; approval notice e-mailed.
On March 9, 2007, this I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER was approved and we sent you an e-mail notice. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.


I am little bit confuse.
I appriciate your help.

VFS site mentions that whole of Andhra falls under HYD jurisdiction. Probably it means that applicant if he/she going for visa first time, may not take appointment at other consulates.

Also, SF Indian consulate clearly mentions that they do not provide any services to short term visitors that includes visitors....

My employer did not allow us to file EAD and AP for employees. Only for spouse) and I was wondering if I can file myself. But I don't think we can do it without a receipt notice.

As far as new fee structure is concerned, we'll be better off paying the new fee compared to the old fee and attorney fee combined.

Whats wrong with this.Ur last name is still Baru .In my old L2 EAD I see c,a b where c is my last name ,a my first name and b my middle initial.There should be a comma after your lastname in EAD card right?U r OK.

reddymjm05-12 08:48 AMNo difference. You pay more for 1 yr textensions as you have to do 3 times as compared to 3yr extension. No lawyer will advise you to go for 1 yr if you have an approved I140....

Another serious issue she is been illtreated by her husband and how should she report this matter to the local police here .

* She is on L2.

* The kid is an American citizen. you can get a passport done at your local post office. Kid needs either visa, or PIO card to travel to india.

* Ask her to call her local police station (or even 911) and report this to the police (unless he has been physically abusive, she can probably tell him the next time he misbehaves she'll go to the police. Explain that a police record could mean lots of problems for him, going all teh way from GC, to getting a future job etc. If he does not shape up or has been physically abusive, then have her contact the police.)
