NatesacMay 3, 09:28 PMThis is something I would love to see via jailbreak or iOS 5. It would be awesome to be able to hand off SMS to the iPad when they are in close proximity.

But I would want this to work with my iPhone's native AT&T SMS and not some other "free" texting service. Those require you to use a new number and it would be near impossible for me to tell all my contacts to start texting a new number but call me on the old number.

You can't combine discounts, i.e. the 10% card and the EDU. At least not when Tiger was released....

if you're into old school, i got a lot of play out of the Pirates! remake for the PSP and it's at bargain bin prices now.

I second the vote for pirates!. It nice and mostly open ended too, so if you get bored playing game of it, you can play it again and have different results if you will. The other game game for my psp i have enjoyed a lot is burnout legends, nothing like crashing cars, plus i find that the psp controls lends itself out well to racing games.

As of now, I'm using an iPod touch with textfree but I need more stability.

I would like unlimited texting (sms not needed) and maybe 500-1000 minutes a month... any suggestions?

Also, I have no idea how to do a carrier unlock (or when its needed, even) but I do know how to jailbreak.

ANY advice would be appreciated!

The need for an iOS subforum depends in part on the quantity of IOS-themed threads we routinely have, other than those in the News forums and the programming forums. Can you point out more than a few currently active threads that fall into this category? I haven't spotted many.

They are everywhere in my opinion. Many people are talking about the iOS software, features, release date, etc. and if I wanted to start a thread I'm not sure I'd know which forum to start it in, iPhone or iPad, likewise, within that main forum or in the tricks, troubleshooting subs.

Just to show some of the recent ones. I think it will be even more helpful when it is released and in the future now that the iOS is consolidated on all devices to discuss announced new features coming or those found in betas.

While some of these threads are obviously posted by someone in regard to a specific device, that doesn't mean the discussion isn't broad enough for all. That's simply my point. We talk about OS X but leave iOS discussion to each device forum. Should I go to iMac or MacBook to talk about OS X because that's what I'm running it on. Like I said, I just thought it was time.

tempusfugitJul 11, 09:31 PMYou either loved or hated the puck. If it was clean, it felt great to use. I still have them and use one on the blueberry iMac I have in the garage. I personally liked it a lot. That said, I still use the original black Pro Mouse to this day with my main setup.

dime21Mar 29, 08:54 AMI wish someone would do a native OSX build of Putty. I'm pretty surprised it hasn't been done. Doesn't seem like it would even take much effort if you have the original linux or BSD source code as a starting point.
