Zip-Around Clutch WalletGGJstudiosMay 4, 07:06 PMDo any of you guys know any programs for the mac that could tell me my CPU speed? Or if not, what is the typical temperature that the CPU throttles itself? Thanks!
Mac CPUs will throttle due to thermal issues just below the level where they will automatically shut down to prevent damage, which is around 100C/212F or 105C/221F, depending on which processor you have.
Zip-around clutch featuresold-wizApr 6, 05:07 PMOPs MacBook seems to have a busted shift key, would that qualify? I wonder who he has to show it to do get a new one?
they are not going to replace it for something like that. It takes three replacements of the same part before Apple would even consider it.
OP is really just looking for a way to commit fraud.
GGJstudiosMay 2, 01:04 PMUgh, I just bought CleanMyMac. Could you elaborate more why these products are bad to use? Thanks
AppZapper, AppCleaner, CleanApp, TrashMe, and similar apps do not do a thorough job of removing all files/folders related to deleted apps. I tested several of these, using Skype as the app to be removed. Of 17 items to be removed:
AppZapper missed 13 items
AppCleaner missed 11 items
AppDelete missed 8 items
Hazel missed 9 items
I also tested AppTrap, CleanMyMac and a few others, but don't recall how many items they missed. All left files/folders behind. In most cases, they remove .plist files and a few others, but leave behind much larger files and folders. (you will find a discussion of these tests in the thread linked below)
One app that I would not recommend, based on the number of complaints that have been posted in this forum and elsewhere, is CleanMyMac. As an example: CleanMyMac cleaned too much (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=709930)

*Spymac will be taking a Standard percentage (3%) to cover the costs of documentation and handling.
I'm speechless. I know it's a small percentage, but I cannot believe that they are charging people to make donations via them, when there are so many other options where ALL the money will get to the people who need it.

Anyways, good to see consoles finally getting head tracking, but I'm curious about how far they've gone, if it actually supports 6 DOF, or if it's just x and y, which given the console's hardware might be the case.
And that part showing the father and son air-wheeling it on the couch was lame.
GT5 has always had head tracking, and it will always be a better simulator than Forza will ever hope to be. Will GT compare to PC sims, probably not, but Forza is far more concerned with "pimp my ride" than it is with being a simulator (has to appeal to the teenage male audience xbox attracts). I'll stick with GT, its the most realistic driving sim on any console, and always will be.

sidgriffeyMar 16, 04:13 PMIs that done just by going to accounts, unlocking the lock, right clicking the name and selecting the home folder -- and I presume just making sure it's the same folder that is selected for SL?
Also, given my setup (SSD booting and running SL with my apps) what is the best way to install Lion? I have the dmg. file, so what would I do to make sure I don't wipe out my SSD situation?

Zip-around wallet with frontgnasher729Apr 24, 10:24 AMbyteSizeOfElement is wrong. Your code will only work (if all other bugs are fixed) with 64 bit code, not with 32 bit code.
Using the result of memcpy is being too smart for your own good.

Inline, Tab, Ziparound, ClutchCanadaRAMSep 27, 05:39 PMHow long is a piece of string?
The Mini with adequate RAM will run all of those programs and is good value for the money if you already have a good monitor.
Is it going to be fast enough for your particular working environment? We can't tell.
mjwatt29Mar 25, 05:11 PMHello:
I just recently bought a new MacBook pro (10.6.7) and am trying to restore a winclone (2.2) windows 7 image (31Gb, stored on a external HD) to a new bootcamp partition (110Gb, MS-DOS (FAT32)), and when I mount the image and attempt to restore, I get the following error:

macingmanApr 9, 01:57 AMThanks everyone. I bought the case with the intention of taking it with me when I go jogging, sport training, to the beach and other places where their is a risk of damaging the phone so it sounds like the otter box is ideal for me.
I don't mind if it makes it a little thicker. My iPhone 4 has it's own pocket so I probably won't notice a difference.

awmazzMay 17, 01:32 PMIf you actually want a usable Newton, go for a 2000/2100 or an eMate with OS 2.1. This one is a collectible so shouldn't really be used anyway to keep it from further wear and tear to maintain its value.
