Rebecca Romijn EastwickDoctor QNov 3, 04:16 AMNow that we've upgraded the forum software (see announcement), we have the ability to define thread prefixes, which appear in front of a thread name in the forum display, or at the top of the page in a thread display.
Prefixes help classify threads within a forum. Unlike tags, they are selected from a pre-defined list.
Here's how thread prefixes work:

Rebecca Romijn of EastwicksystoleMar 26, 08:19 PMI have been using screen in the osx terminal to get serial access, using the following:
screen telnet /dev/tty.usbserial
Unfortunately I can't scrollback in screen, which makes copying long config files a process of :apple:-C, :apple:-V, and repeat. Any suggestions for native serial support in the osx terminal app WITH scrollback?
Rebecca Romijn.PowerGamerXApr 27, 06:05 PMDon't get me wrong, I really love my Mac, and the aesthetics of it. The hardware is enough for my needs, and overall I would be happy...
Problem is I have had nothing but trouble with SL. Every application I have seems to have crashed at least one point in time. I never really had a problem with Leopard and, Leopard is what convinced me to switch to the Mac OS in the first place. However, now, I'm contemplating switching back to Windows (rather, using BootCamp full time).
It doesn't seem to matter if I use a different hard drive, swap out ram, etc. None of the problems I have are hardware based. It's all software.
I'm really just curious to see how many people feel the same way about Snow Leopard. In fact, the experiences I've had remind me of Windows XP. Nothing really wrong with any of my hardware. It's just none of my software seems stable.
I'm really hoping Lion turns out good though.

Starring Rebecca RomijnDougJrSJan 24, 10:15 AMI have a linksys Wireless Access point on my network that I have had for a few months. I just purchased a Airport Express for printing and it was a pain to get working with the Linksys.
I tried to get CompUSA to let me exchange the Linksys AP for the Airport, but they wouldn't. In my opinion I would have perfered to pay the extra $$ for the Airport then waste a day trying to get the Airport Express to work with the Linksys AP.
If you do go Linksys I would get the WRT54G because you can get 3rd part firmware for it that is much better then what Linksys has.

According to the sources, Bird Electronics has released a notebook computer (laptop), ZeroBeat, which is made out of 'Urethane' foam from 'kick board' materials. By using a mobile internal cooler, the cooling system of this laptop is said to be close to perfect.
----
According to the sources, the soon-to-be-released Powerbook G4 will have a built-in Superdrive and Bluetooth. Also, the design of the machine will not change dramatically, and it will be released as a new Powerbook G4.
----
There. I don't know what 'urethane' or 'kick board' is, so I left that as is. Hope it helps.
The original Sherlock translation was pretty good.

This series showcased Romijn#39;sshanmugamMay 4, 11:33 PMCan any of the 2011 iMac owners check if any of the components in their newly bought iMac operate underclocked?
Apple has, in the past, been known to do this to maintain a certain power consumption or thermal level.
This could explain some of the "low" scores we are seeing of late.
nope they are fine and stock CPUs
2.5Ghz/2.7Ghz i5s are 65watts and good performance CPUs

Rebecca Romijn, Paul Gross, wordmungerSep 23, 01:18 PMWhere *is* the U.S. refurb store, anyway? Didn't there used to be a link on the front page of the Apple store?
Rebecca Romijn, Sara Rue,harpsterApr 7, 02:08 PMJust saying, this advice is incorrect. The first version was simply capturing the return value from the function. The second is discarding the return value. Both are calling the function.
Sorry to disagree... the script didn't work until the mail function was called directly.. maybe you should try running the code first---

Tags photo, rebecca romijnLethalWolfeMay 4, 03:46 PMGood. Pay your taxes amazon. Why should they not have to? If there were a federal law in place they would have no other options. No more tax breaks for corporations.
Don't you mean pay your taxes Amazon customers? The reprieve was on people living in SC not having to pay sales tax on things they buy via Amazon.

Rebecca Romijn, TransformationBig-MikeJun 23, 07:03 PMI went by the store today to try and find out a rough number of how many non-reserved phones they would have. I couldn't get a number of course, the lady did say that the Reston Town Center security would run people off that were lined up before 5am. Not sure if that will really happen or just what they are told to tell customers.....the official answer.
Rebecca Romijn talks about herchstrOct 1, 08:13 PMthe above meant Andres Segovia. also Julian Bream and John Williams are great classical players. Paco Pena and Paco DeLucia are great flamenco artists. Try Pierre Bensusan for fingerstyle stuff
renew Rebecca Romijn#39;slongofestSep 20, 07:22 PMThat's quite a huge bug. :(
Glad they fixed it, but that kind of thing should have never been allowed to exist in the firstplace.
olafurjon92Apr 26, 06:57 AMI was wondering about that too. I'd buy it.
kelving525Sep 25, 04:23 PMThey already do look alike. Honestly, most average people won't know the difference. I've already had people ask me if my new touch is an iPhone.
Same here! I was using an app that provided me 20% on a merchandise and the sales asked me how I got it on my "iPhone.":D

NttDocomoFeb 25, 12:45 AMHi with all the wonderful help in this forum I have just jailbroken my iPhone 4. Now I am trying to do the same for my iPad. Since iPad doesn't have baseband, should I just restore to 4.2.1 directly from iTunes or I should still download the firmware somewhere and start TSS server of TinyUmbrella while restoring to 4.2.1? Thank you very much for all the help. :)
pmzJun 30, 10:16 AMWhat is going on in the software dept at 1 infinite loop?
Not only is this update overdue, but its the only one of Apple's own iPhone apps to even be touched for iOS4 or the iPhone 4.
None of the Apps have been updated to a universal version with iPad support.
Oh, but Find my iPhone was critically important to have out on launch...
It's embarrassing.
I mean, what kind of example does this set for other devs? Apple expects their developers of technically completed products (apps) to be updated asap to support all of the latest features of the latest devices. Yet they themselves have half a dozen critical apps that haven't even been touched?
