I frequently move from one house to another because I am not fully settled yet. I might lose some of those important documents during the transfers so I thought the lawyer should keep the original.

my main concern is : i would like to know if its possible for me to obtain a driver license with the approval notice i received from USCIS (i -797c Notice of action).. does my employer will need to fill out any forms for for that to happen ?? if so, what kind of forms :(

I assume that your I-485 is not yet filed. If it is true, you must be having a H1-B or other work visa to maintain your work status. If yes, those are the documents you will need to get Drivers License extensions.
To my knowledge, approved I-140 is not an immigration status that can enable you to get a Drivers License extended on its own.

If the company is paying the lawyer for the process, you just relax. They must have consulted the lawer before giving the ad and get directions, because the lawyer has to send these evidences when filing.
If not, you better check with an expert.

And dont waste your time by calling the officials or making Infopass appointments. Apply for a duplicate EAD asap. Yes, you have to pay the fees.

Recieved by USCIS on 06/29/2007. our lawyer recently got our reciept nos. my husband got a notice saying FP fee rejected and has been asked to re submit the fee,when, in fact all our checks have already been cashed.all of my notices say case recieved and pending.my question is ,with my husband's case in suspense, will my application be also with held or will USCIS go ahead with my application.
