Sorry haven't had much time, started coding last night again.
Yes I think I have the total solution.

The first part, the masking, I've managed to recreate with a 'RenderMask' (CCRenderTexture). An example can be found here:

This works nicely. I'm keeping track of a "blastSprite" array wich I blend with the barrierSprite on the RenderLayer.

For the second part (the pixel detection -> transparent/color), I'm going to use a hack on CCTexture2d: CCTexture2dMutable. This is a extended class with a very fast 'pixelAt' function. Haven't had the time to test it, hopefully tomorrow.

So I cant do it with a DVD at all? WTH? Seems very inconvenient to need the special USB install media.

That is the case with ALL Macs that ship with newer version of OS X, not just MBAs. The install media is included so you can use it and sometimes it's the only media you can use. Apple didn't include it so you can just throw it away.

talmyMay 6, 12:49 PMLooking at the GUI aspects, Lion seems to be optimized for small screens and is particularly irritating for using with multiple displays. "Full Screen" blanks any secondary displays! Agree that Launchpad looks ridiculous.

I don't like the change in operation for Spaces, and the change in keyboard assignment seems gratuitous, but at least the assignments can be changed back.

However the changes "under the hood" (particularly resume, version control, and off-line TimeMachine) look good indeed, but most will require updated software. I expect the iWork suite to be updated at the time of Lion's release, which will help. Other Apple-centric developers will certainly play along, but I expect long waits for Microsoft Office and Adobe CS.

ghostlyorbApr 4, 09:31 AMYou're right in a way. You can use the Linksys and extend via ethernet to the AP express to extend it. OR... you can buy 2 APEs and have one be the WIFI.. and then the 2nd one would just extend from the 1st one. It's super easy to setup with the software on the mac!

Thanks for the info! There has been no moisture/dust since it happened and it's already been a week. As far as it's current state, it's a perfectly functioning iPhone with the cosmetic flaws you see.

what mac do you have?
how to hook it up depends on what kind, and how old it is.

if you're not sure how old it is, go to the :apple: menu, about this mac, more info.
then on the the main hardware page, there is a Model Identifier should say something followed by a couple numbers, like "Macmini4,1"
give us that, and we can tell you what you need.

Nope. A pillow (by definition I believe) is a cushion, which a MBP is not. I guess you can say it qualified as a support.

Nothings stopping you from putting your head on it. I'm sure it could take the load, but i would recommend just getting one of those heat pads.

Or use it for spooning.



homeshireJul 15, 07:24 AMright -- just tried 2-3 different ways to get some qt streams. indeed, i got a couple stations playing classical music (WGBH Boston, WCPE), but all the selections that were always there in the past are gone, e.g. npr, cnn, abc, bbc etc. either an error (-2129) on trying to open, or the blurb about channel selection having changed, please update your existing software. i have tried to update, and i assure, there are no updates available.

ShortiesMay 1, 04:49 PMI can do everything I want to from my ipad except for be notified when I get texts and respond to those texts. I know the jailbreak for the iPad 2 isn't out yet so I am waiting on that anyway, but is there a jailbroken app that allows me to forward texts from my phone and respond with my iPad. I'm using BiteSMS on my phone if that makes a difference.

TheAnswerJan 9, 09:33 AMThe keys are "available today" and then, unless the nearest store is just around the corner, you should probably call the store you intend to pick it up at, as sometimes shipments don't arrive until a little later in the day.

I would think that, if it is available today, most stores will have them available by the time the keynote ends or shortly thereafter.
