r6girlSep 26, 12:11 PMthe shuffle can work as a usb thumb drive on mac and windows systems. in itunes, you need to designate how much space will be allocated for music, and how much for memory usage as a thumb drive (i.e., enable disk mode). i have a 1gb shuffle, and split it evenly to have 512mb for music and 512 for data. a windows machine may or may not need additional drivers to recognize the shuffle as a thumb drive, but other than that, you shouldn't encounter any issues. you can transfer any type of data you want - the only issue willl be whether or not the windows machine can open the mac documents. if the pages document is saved as a ".doc" item, the windows machine should have no problem. just make sure that the pc has the right software to open the mac document you want to transfer.

Maxim#39;s Hot 100 issue just


velocityg4Oct 21, 04:52 PMI think the opportunity to renumber was back in the 10.4 or 10.5 range. 10.6 was little more than a performance tweak. But little by little, we drift farther and farther away from that 10.0 experience. Maybe Lion, with more touchiness, will warrant a new number. But "XI" just doesn't look as cool as "X" does.

True though I thought that 10.3 should have been 11 and 10.5 should have been 12. I am glad we are drifting further from the 10.0 experience there were virtually no programs supported. I tried using 10.0 and 10.1 on my G4 but stuck with 9 until 10.2 when performance was on par and most every program was available for OS X.

Though I think we are still on OS X since Jobs said it would stay that way until 2020. He'll be damned to make it XI just to prove he was right;).

I have an iPod Touch 4G that I had jailbroken on 4.2.1, but I messed with some system files that I shouldn't have messed with and I had to restore and update to 4.3. Is there anyway I can downgrade to 4.2.1 so I can jailbreak again?

You can but its very complicated you must have your 4.2.1 file saved

I am just creating this website for a client. I do not want to have to be involved every time they want to send something from a MailChimp account. I am pretty sure they are not going to want to use a MailChimp account themselves. I don't think they would know how. They just want to be able to go to their email and send an email update to people.....and what if it is over 2000 people?

solientblackApr 26, 09:54 AMre-did the DFU mode steps. iTunes came up again and said "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes.

Steps I used just so everyone knows what I am doing.

1- Phone is off already, so no need to power it down.

2- Held Home and Sleep keys for 10 seconds WITH iTunes open, continuing to hold the Home button until iTunes gave me that popup box with the "iTunes has detected..."

3- Hit restore, it attempts to do so, and about 2-3 minutes later it gives me that 1604 error message. When it first starts the restoration process the screen flashes white then an Apple logo appears, and has the circular loading icon at the bottom for about 5 seconds and it powers down again. Then I get that error a few minutes later as i mentioned just before.

It is in DFU mode. The screen is blank, nothing is there.

edit: I even tried the SHIFT, then click Restore button just to try everything once. Same process happens that I mentioned in step 3.

edit2: updating iTunes to the latest version and trying again., same message even with new iTunes and a new computer, new usb port, and even a new usb cable.

1080p, or even 720p should be fine. Moving picture is different because you don't concentrate in small details but try to read text in Safari at 1920x1080 and it will look pixel-ish, something that you don't want.

labmanMay 3, 08:36 PMwhole things sounds fishy to me. no paypal no way you can dispute it. I think going through your friend is the best and only route and hope for the best. have them meet at a public place (Starbucks) even a police station I will bet he doesn't like that idea. all you can do is hope for the best worst case this route you have a over priced used 16gb I4. which is better then nothing. good luck.
