NatProJul 23, 04:05 AMI have an Alpine iDA-X305S in my car that I have been running my 32gig iPod Touch for about a year now with no problems.

Today I updated the software on the iPod to the latest available and now scrolling through the artists through the head unit is very sluggish (a huge understatement) or doesn't even scroll at all.

The unit is supposedly made for iPod.

I have no idea what to do, I have tried resetting the iPod and the head unit, but nothing changes.

jdreierApr 29, 01:02 PMI've recently installed a 2.33ghz c2d chip in my old 1.66 cd mac mini. The performance boost has been great!

I've noticed temps have gotten a little high while running encodes and such... around low - mid 90s C while handbrake is encoding. I know this is still within operating temperature, but i'd like them to be a little lower.

I managed to keep the plastic clips from breaking while installing my cpu. I've been thinking about replacing the nylon clips with some nylon screws, like others have mentioned.

My question, Do people use the springs that came with the clips when installing the screws? Or do people just screw the heatsink down snug to the cpu without the springs?

The only problem is that I am getting a new laptop soon, my BlackBook is dyeing.)))): Well, so far I have bought all my music on iTunes, but it's so expensive. I bought many CD's like I said, and I'm putting them on iTunes. When I plug the iPod into a new computer, it would ask me if I wanted to transfer my purchases. And everything that I bought would transfer. The songs that I got from other websites wouldn't transfer. But If I import the CD's through iTunes, will it still transfer to the new computer? Or do they have to be bought from iTunes?

If you have an external hard drive just move the files from one computer to another, it's pretty easy if you do it that way. arnJun 12, 01:23 AMThis has to be the least hyped(and cared about) keynote since steve jobs returned to Apple. I didnt even know when it was going to be until I read on a videogame website that there was this 3d game for the new iphone.

Apple computers and software is not bad, its just being neglected. I am afraid that Apple is no longer creating great computers that beat out other pc's. They are halting that, and concentrating on entertainment(movies & music) and other gadgets...iphone,ipod, apple tv, airport...etc.

1. I disagree. I think this keynote was very hyped, one of the most talked about before hand. Traffic/interest at the site during the keynote was the highest ever.

2. I think what we've heard about Snow Leopard is exactly the direction Apple should be going. More substance, than style. Some people might have been happier if Apple devoted time on a flashy new interface for 10.6, but in the long run, we are going to benefit much more with the kind of performance enhancements they have described.

Realistic simulator or not, to me Forza 3 is a MUCH more fun game. GT5 is very pretty, but when it comes to the actual GAME part, it really falls apart. All these, alleged, improvements to Forza 4 looks to be adding even more to what was already a great game. More cars, more tracks, more players, improved game engine, etc. Forza 4 is looks to be a nice addition to the series. Plus, Turn 10 isn't making people wait 6 years for another game, unlike Polyphony.

I think this is the most likely explanation. They changed a lot of the interface elements and it's pretty reasonable to assume that they just haven't updated the graphite versions.

What I wanted to do was put Windows 7 along with OSX on my 240gb SSD while also partitioning my my 750gb HDD that I'll install in the optibay drive so one side is for Windows in NTFS and the other for OSX.

Possible within disc utilies, right? Sorry, I am a new Mac user =D


I'm a little confused, I understand the OSX and bootcamp win7 on the SSD but why are you partitioning the 750GB HDD? You might want to format the 750GB as mac osx journaled and get macdrive for win7, that way windows can write to both the bootable osx and the 750GB drive.

I have one drive with 3 partitions. SL, Lion and win7 and can share files between each OS. Just a suggestion... :)
