discounteggrollMay 3, 10:56 AMI opted to get the 4GB version, but waited until the refurb was available (they go quickly so check often and jump when it's in stock). I got it for $929 from apple. I would recommend a plastic case/sleeve/keyboard cover from ebay as they are less than $30 shipped and add very little as far as bulk/weight, but do a nice job of keeping the unit scratch-free and protected (not from drops, of course)

here's a list of the DVD drives I'd recommend. The top 2 are DVD ROM's and the second 2 are DVD burners. For the air I doubt you'd need a burner but for $10 more why not? The cables they come with have a mini USB (plugs into drive) and 2 standard USB cables, but you only need to connect one of them in order to use the drive (the one with 2 cables coming out of it, you'll understand once you look at it)

NttDocomoMay 5, 07:01 PMHi I just bought a 2011 Macbook Pro 13" two weeks ago and have been very happy with it. I usually plug it with power and output to a 23" LED monitor. The laptop is close and at times the Apple light turns on and the fan also turns on. I can feel that the battery part is really hot so I turn off and let it rest. Sometimes I also plug with power and use it at coffee shop. In this case, the battery part also gets hot and I can feel the heat as I type. This happens especially when I plugged my phone with the macbook to charge the phone.

Anyone experience the same with their 2011 Macbook Pro or it could be something wrong with my system? Thanks for your help and comment. :)

I'd like to transfer pictures from my CDMA phone (on Sprint; LG Rumor2) via bluetooth to my ipod touch 3rd gen. I've gotten them to recognize each other, but they don't seem to hold connection. The iPod especially fails to connect. I've gotten to the point of the passkey and each device identifying the other, but that's where it ends.

Anyone have any success with this, LG or otherwise?

I was working those kind of hours for a couple of months toward the end of last year. Aggressive software deadlines. I count myself fortunate that I get paid for the overtime. It's much easier to accept working at 8pm on a Sunday night when I know I can charge time and a half for the entire weekend!

Things have settled a bit but I'm finding a comfortable pace of working mostly regular hours during the week, plus coming in on Sunday afternoons for a few OT hours.

Actually, I believe that psychologists would classify that as smack-in-the-middle of denial. The denial that one's current choices may not be correct.

The denial stage can be further broken up.

Denial 1: Inured/Habituated- blind belief in one's own convictions doesn't even consider that there may be other perspectives.
Denial 2: Protectionism - acknowledges there are other perpectives, but actively shuns them; still believes that one own convictions are the correct course of action.
Denial 3: Reactionism - beleives that others questioning ones convictions are attacking.

It's still some 14 months away for me but I was just curious what might transpire when I try upgrading and they see I got unlimited data even though I joined AT&T AFTER June.

I just got the unlimited data on 4/29 and was wondering the same thing.

Really though the bottom line is that the Att salesmen just don't care. All they care about is getting paid.

When I used the 2g and did the trick I ended up activating my phone through iTunes and it gave me a new 2-year contract even though I was contract free before the trick! I was thinking "oh ***** I am going to go into the store to get the contract removed and the guy is going to see that I just did the loophole and switch me back to a tiered plan" :(

Well, not only did the salesman not care at all... he even had to get his manager to take off the 2 year contract and the manager didn't even say anything!

I wouldn't be worried as long as you upgrade through a Att sales rep. They are not paid to care and police your account. If anything that would cost them money if they lost a sale by being a prick and taking away your unlimited data when you upgrade so they def won't do that ;)

Which model are you shooting for? I'm looking for a 64gb wifi model, so my hope is that the price will deter sales for a couple hours.

I get out of class around 3, and I think I'm going to try the apple store to get one at 5:00 . . .if that fails I'm going to move on to on Lawndale target . . .then Walmart in Asheboro - where I'm unfortunate enough live.

To get back to answering your question, I'd say that depending on the model that you're looking for, BB may or may not be the best bet given their limited stock.

marshallbedsaul, read the Parallels documentation or find a guide (http://www.simplehelp.net/2009/02/02/how-to-install-windows-7-in-os-x-using-parallels-desktop-a-complete-walkthrough/). Installing and using Windows within Parallels will be FAR easier that what you were trying to do in your first post.
